Good evening, Pirates.

The last week of school is here and what an exciting year it has been. Several end-of-year celebrations were in full effect this week. Field Day was running at our elementaries. Our middle school celebrated seventh and eighth graders with its annual awards ceremony. Our high school seniors had their graduation run-through with rehearsal for next Monday’s ceremony. And we even got to celebrate National Police Week for the first time in our district.

As we prepare to put the wraps on 2021-22, I want to thank you all—students, staff and parents—for your hard work this year. Our accomplishments as a district have been many and I know next week will serve as a positive opportunity to send out our Class of 2022. Let’s all do everything we can to stay safe and finish strong. With modified class schedules and early releases, it is important to remain aware of our surroundings. Let’s continue with safety first as we close out an outstanding school year.

I can’t wait to celebrate our seniors next Monday. If you can’t join us in person, watch here via live stream. Have a great weekend.

Pirates forever,

Dr. Wendy Eldredge
CISD Superintendent
