What is CCMR and CTE?

College Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) is about preparing students for life after graduation. It is made up of curriculum, resources, programs and activities that help students have the tools they need to enter college or the workforce and begin a career. CCMR is integrated into the everyday culture of our district and is supported by state guidelines, partnerships with higher education organizations and businesses.

CTE stands for Career and Technical Education. It is an educational program that provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers. CTE programs are designed to prepare students for both college and workforce pathways by offering hands-on learning experiences in various career fields.

 

  • Crandall Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in General Employability Skills, College & Career Exploration, Animal Science, Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems, Plant Science, Architectural Drafting and Design, Graphic Design and Interactive Media, Digital Communications, Printing and Imaging, Business Management, Teaching and Training, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology and Personal Care Services, Information Technology Support and Services, Law Enforcement, Robotics and Automation Technology. Admission to these programs is based on enrollment in CISD secondary schools.
