Happy Sunday afternoon, Pirates. Great to be with you today. We have a few things we want to share and update you on this week.

First, I want to say thank you to a really great group of people—our Special Ed department, community members, and business partners. We were supposed to have Special Olympics, and of course, that's when the monsoon showed up in Crandall. We had to miss the event, but we still had some amazing supporters, and each of the kids got to celebrate on their campus in a unique way. Thank you to everyone who planned to support our Special Olympics event. It’s always such a special time of the year.

Next, this past Friday was School Lunch Hero Day. The 56 people who work in our food and nutrition department are truly heroes. They make sure every student receives a nutritious meal every single day. Cooking for 7,000 kids is a monumental task, and they handle it with care and excellence. A big thank you to our Child Nutrition Department for the amazing work they do day in and day out.

Graduation is coming up very soon, and one of the most exciting things we get to do is announce our Top 10 graduates for the year. Congratulations to our Top 10! We’ll have a chance to celebrate them later this week, and I’m sure a video will be shared as well. These students have shown incredible academic achievement, and we’re proud of all they’ve accomplished. If you know one of them, be sure to give them a big high five.

Lastly, tomorrow kicks off Teacher Appreciation Week. We have an incredible staff—dedicated, passionate, and caring educators who go above and beyond for our kids. Teaching is hard work, but they build relationships, reach students, and make a lasting impact. If you get a chance, please take a moment to send a quick note of appreciation to your child’s teacher. I know it would mean a lot.

We hope you have a great week. We’ll see all of our Pirates tomorrow!
