District Details
Crandall Independent School District is a 5-A school district fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. CISD serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade and is located in Crandall, Texas in the southwest portion of Kaufman County. CISD is considered a fast growth, above average district committed to student growth and achievement.
District History
According to the deed of records which was filed on February 28, 1901, "Twenty resident citizens of the village of Crandall requested an election for the purpose of incorporating for free school purpose as provided by law." The election was held on March 9, 1901. The citizens also voted at the same time to "levy a tax of 0.25 cents on $100 to raise money so the district might float bonds to build a good school building." The building was completed in 1903 at a cost of $9,000. The school had five teachers with an enrollment of about "225 scholars."
CISD is proud to celebrate "125 years of excellence."

Crandall Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in Agricultural Science, HVAC, Business, Finance, Marketing, Arts/AV, Culinary Arts, Interior Design, Information Technology, Law and Public Safety, Health Science, Education and STEM. Admission to these programs are based on interest, aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space availability.
