New app allows CISD families real-time updates of bus route status

CISD Transportation is adding another level of family assistance this year through the release of its “My Stop” bus tracking mobile app.
CISD Transportation is adding another level of family assistance this year through the release of its “My Stop” bus tracking mobile app.
Versatrans My Stop is a free web-based mobile app that allows parents and students to view real-time route status of their buses, including delays and estimated times of arrival.
My Stop will operate on any computer, iPad, iPhone, tablet or Android mobile device. It is free to download through the iTunes Store or Google Play Store by searching “Versatrans My Stop.”
Status updates refresh every 20-30 seconds as buses travel along their scheduled routes. Arrival times are adjusted to let people know if the bus is on time or behind schedule.
“We are excited that we can offer this to our CISD families,” said Scott Stewart, who directs CISD’s transportation department. “Our buses cover more than 1,500 miles of routes every day with students. To be able to provide this additional peace of mind to our families is invaluable.”
More than 1,700 students ride the bus each day in Crandall ISD.
