Public Notice for Applying for the ESSA Federal Grant Funding for Independent School Districts

Notice of Public Comment Opportunity for ESSA Federal Funds for the 2026–2027 School Year
Crandall ISD is providing public notice of its intent to apply for federal funds through the Every Student Succeeds Act, also known as ESSA, for the 2026–2027 school year.
ESSA is the federal law that governs K–12 public education and provides formula grant funding to states and school districts. These funds are intended to support high-need schools, improve student achievement, strengthen instruction, support English learners, and provide students with access to well-rounded educational opportunities.
Crandall ISD participates in a Shared Service Arrangement with Region 10 Education Service Center’s Office of Federal Programs and plans to continue this partnership for the 2026–2027 school year. Region 10 serves as the fiscal agent for Shared Service Arrangement members. As fiscal agent, Region 10 submits grant applications, compliance reports, financial reports, and other required documentation to the Texas Education Agency on behalf of Crandall ISD.
