Crandall ISD Celebrates School Board Recognition Month

Crandall, Texas — Each January, Crandall Independent School District proudly joins school districts across the state in celebrating School Board Recognition Month, a time dedicated to honoring the volunteer leaders who serve their communities as school board members.
School boards play a vital role in overseeing the operation of local public schools and ensuring students receive a high-quality education. Elected from and representing their communities, trustees are entrusted with policy making, setting direction, and promoting educational excellence for their school districts. In Texas, school board members receive no compensation beyond the satisfaction that comes from serving the public and supporting student success.
Like many Texas school districts, Crandall ISD is governed by a locally elected Board of Trustees composed of seven members who serve staggered three-year terms. This structure ensures continuity of leadership and thoughtful decision-making over time. As a governmental body, the Board may take official action only through a majority vote during legally called public meetings, reflecting transparency and accountability to the community they serve.
Throughout School Board Recognition Month, Crandall ISD took time to recognize the dedication, leadership, and service of its trustees, whose commitment helps guide the district’s vision and supports the success of students, staff, and families.
Crandall ISD extends sincere appreciation to the members of the Board of Trustees:
