New Traffic Patterns on US 175 Frontage Roads Beginning Oct. 12

Posted Date: 10/10/26 (10:00 AM)

A map of changes to the 175 service road, indicating one-way westbound and two-way eastbound sections, starting October 12.
Drivers traveling along US 175 in Crandall should be aware of changes to the frontage roads beginning Monday, Oct. 12.

Weather permitting, the eastbound and westbound US 175 frontage roads will shift to new traffic configurations from Monday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Oct. 16, as part of the ongoing US 175 interchange improvement project.

The westbound frontage road, which carries traffic toward Dallas, will become one-way between FM 148 and FM 741. The one-way configuration will also include the U-turn loop west of FM 741.

The eastbound frontage road will remain two-way between FM 741 and FM 148.

Drivers should pay close attention to posted signs, watch for changing traffic patterns and allow additional travel time while becoming familiar with the new configuration. Martin Elementary families should be especially mindful of the changing traffic pattern.

The work is part of a $57 million US 175 interchange improvement project that is scheduled for completion in fall 2026.

As work continues, drivers can visit DriveTexas.org for information about daily lane closures. TxDOT also provides text alerts for major scheduled closures and other traffic updates.

Crandall ISD encourages families, staff and other community members who travel through the area to use extra caution and allow additional time as traffic patterns change.
