Crandall ISD Board Approves 2026–2027 Teacher Pay Scale and Compensation Plan

CRANDALL, TX — At a Special Called Board Meeting on March 23, 2026, the Crandall Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the 2026–2027 Teacher Pay Scale as part of the district’s continued commitment to attracting and retaining high-quality educators.
The newly approved pay scale establishes a starting teacher salary of $60,000 for the 2026–2027 school year, with increases based on years of experience. The salary schedule reflects a strategic investment in teacher compensation while remaining responsive to the district’s continued growth and staffing needs.
Under the approved plan:
- Teachers will see salary increases aligned to years of experience, with salaries ranging up to $83,470 for highly experienced educators.
- Additional stipends will continue, including $1,250 for a master’s degree and $1,500 for a doctorate degree.
In addition to the teacher pay scale, the Board also approved updates to the district’s overall compensation plan. All other employee groups will receive raises calculated at 2% of the midpoint of their respective pay scales, ensuring a balanced and equitable approach to compensation across the organization.
District leadership emphasized that the approved pay scale reflects Crandall ISD’s strategic focus on supporting educators while maintaining fiscal responsibility. The plan is designed to remain competitive within the region and reinforce the district’s commitment to student success through investment in its workforce.
The 2026–2027 Teacher Pay Scale applies to a 184-day contract calendar and will be used for placement of new hires. Salary plans are for one year only and are used for the placement of new hires. Salary steps do not represent future salaries for returning staff. CISD bases salary advancement on the annual pay raise budget.
