Crandall ISD Hosts State of the District Meetings Focused on Growth and the Future

In a commitment to transparency and community engagement, Crandall ISD Superintendent Dr. Anjanette Murry hosted two State of the District meetings on Tuesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 24. Community members, parents, staff, and other stakeholders gathered to hear an in-depth update on the district’s current status and its future plans amid rapid growth.
Dr. Murry shared detailed insights on staffing, enrollment projections, facility capacity, future building needs, and financial planning. A key focus was preparing the community for the district’s accelerating growth, with enrollment expected to increase by more than 7,000 students over the next decade.
The presentations also outlined current and future bond projects, operational budget impacts, land acquisitions for future campuses, and the district’s continued efforts to remain competitive in recruiting and retaining high-quality teachers. Discussions included the upcoming need for a voter-approved VATRE (Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election) to support teacher salaries and address operational funding needs.
Both meetings reflected Crandall ISD’s proactive approach to planning for the future while reinforcing a strong partnership with the community through open dialogue and a shared vision for student success.
