Counseling Services

The Crandall ISD Counseling Department is here to support students, staff, and families to ensure that all

stakeholders are equipped to impact the world positively. Through RISE (Resiliently Improving Socially & Emotionally), our hope is to come together as a community and district to build the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that both students and adults need to succeed in school, work, and life.

Crandall ISD is committed to ensuring that our students are equipped to impact the world positively.  We understand the importance of Social and Emotional Learning for all students. Following the guidelines establish through the Texas School Counseling Model & American School Counseling Association, school counselors provide the following services:

  • Guidance Curriculum: School Counselors  help all students develop the skills to help them become the best version of themselves. Through collaboration with teachers in the classroom setting, counselors teach on various topics as it relates to Self Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Responsible Decision Making, and Relationship Skills.
  • Individual Planning: School Counselors meet with students to help plan, monitor, and manage their educational, career, and personal-social development. Students can begin to set goals for themselves as well as address strengths and areas for growth.
  • Responsive Services: School Counselors intervene on behalf of students who are struggling with personal concerns or issues. Counselors are able to provide short term care through individual counseling and/or group counseling to better support students in crisis.
  • System Support: In order to provide the upmost care for all stakeholders in Crandall ISD, School Counselors consult with teachers, provide parent educational tools, build community relationships, and participate in campus based and regional professional development.
  • Mission Statement:  Ensuring all students thrive emotionally, strengthen socially, and embrace resilience as a cornerstone of personal and academic growth
  • Vision Statement: To empower each student to positively impact the world
