Happy summer Pirates. Congratulations. And we made it. I know you've worked very hard this school year to put in your best effort and it is finally time to relax. So before you completely tune out from school, we wanted to give you some summer updates of a few important things that you want to know. First of all, everyone should have received their information about rezoning.

There is a section on the website where you can look at our boundaries for our new schools and the relocation of where your student might attend school. Emails and letters were sent individually. If you have questions, you can contact Student Services and they'll be happy to help you out. Secondly, we want to tell you about the amazing summer programs that we have to offer to you.

This summer. We have fine arts camps, we have sports camps, academic camps. Of course, there's summer school and there's free summer feeding that happens at several of our facilities throughout the summer and is free of charge all year long to students, 0 to 18 years of age and we hope you'll take advantage of eating those free meals. It's a hot lunch. www.crandall-isd.net/summer2023

Monday through Thursday. At several of our facilities, we also wanted to touch base with you to let you know about a couple of things that are important before we begin next school year at the end of July, probably around July 30th or so, you'll receive an email reminding you to go online and complete your back to school annual Skyward update of information.

Super important that you just give us update information for doctors, phone numbers, contact information and that is required before students will be able to pick up their schedule or pick up their chromebooks next year. They're going to need to complete that. So watch your email in early July. We'll be back broadcasting our videos in August but wanted to, you know, that that will be coming in July.

So every student who's returning to Crandall ISD will need to complete those. The first day of school next year is August 15th. That is a Tuesday the week prior to that, we will hold some open houses and some opportunities for you to get to go and see your campus meet teachers and those kinds of things. We've had a great school year.

I'm really proud of all that we've accomplished, proud of our students and the effort that they've given. I look forward to leading this district next year into greater things. And so we hope you have a wonderful summer. We look forward to seeing you all back in August.
