Happy Sunday afternoon, Pirates! We hope you're enjoying your Labor Day weekend and getting a little bit of rest. As a reminder, there's no school on Monday, so enjoy one more extra day, and we'll see you back here on Tuesday.
Today I am standing in the middle of our Community Center Library. We moved this library from the high school. You heard me talk a couple of weeks ago about all the renovations and remodels that we've done at the high school, and we relocated our community library. It's now located at the Freshman Center, and you are welcome to come into the building. They have library cards, and if you're a resident of Kaufman County, you're able to pick up a card to check out books here. You can also fill that out online, and they'll mail you a library card.
This great facility even has a children's room that's separate from the students who come in from the building. It has a fun atmosphere and is a welcoming place to be. We hope you'll take advantage of our community library, and we appreciate the partnership with both Combine and Crandall in making this possible.
Secondly, for the first time this year, we were able to honor our Pirates of the Month. If you happen to see one of these amazing people, please congratulate them and tell them how much you appreciate what they do to go above and beyond for the students of Crandall ISD.
Lastly, we want to bring your attention to the Proposition A website. If you go to www.crandall-isd.net/vote, you'll find all the Proposition A information, including FAQs, the ballot language, and lots of other details about this tax election that our school board has called. We invite you to visit the site, and of course, you can always continue to submit your Let's Connect questions. But this website may be a great place to find quick answers, along with short videos explaining what Proposition A is all about.
We hope you have a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing you back on Tuesday!
