Happy Sunday, Pirates!
It’s great to be with you this afternoon at Crandall Middle School, celebrating Music in Our Schools Month. March is a time to recognize the impact of music education, and we are fortunate to have 12 amazing professionals who provide our students with opportunities to explore music. Music fosters creativity, focus, self-expression, and learning in new ways.
Now, let’s enjoy a special performance from our middle school wind ensemble, showcasing the incredible talent of our students.
It’s inspiring to see our students grow and flourish in music. I hope you’ll take a moment to appreciate both our students and the dedicated staff who make this possible.
As we wrap up the third quarter, we’re heading into the final stretch of the school year. This is the time to buckle down, focus, and finish strong.
A quick reminder about an extended spring break this year:
đŸ“… Students will be off March 7 – March 17 and return to school on March 18.
Finally, we are in a legislative season, and decisions are being made in Austin that impact public education. Our district is supporting the Fund Schools First campaign. While we recognize the importance of funding roads, medical facilities, and other state priorities, we believe funding public schools first is critical for the future of our state. Please join us in advocating for strong public school funding by reaching out to your legislators.
Have a great week, Pirates! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
