Good afternoon, Pirates. We are so excited. The school year is here. We are about ready to launch the 24-25 school year and just cannot wait to see our kids back. I want to make sure that I update you about a few really important things that have to happen before school starts.

So the first thing is registration. So let me try to clarify. There's a lot of questions out there on social media and we've gotten several calls. Three things happen. One, if you're a brand new student, meaning you've never been in Crandall before, or you were with us and you withdrew and you didn't end the year with us. If you do, if that's you, you need to go to new student registration. In other words, you're starting a new school year at a new school. So that's new student registration and we'll show you here on our website where you can find the new student registration button. But then for all of our students who finished the year with us, so if you were at the end of the year, you participated in our May activities and you're returning, there's a returning student form that you need to complete and that's a little bit different. So we're gonna show you where that is on our website. It's red and it's on the left hand side of your Skyward Family Access. So if you'll go there, that lets us know that you're coming. And we need that so that we can put you in a class list. If you don't complete that, you don't get on the class list, you don't get a schedule, and that just backs things up. So make sure that you complete either new student registration, if you're brand brand new, or returning from a previous school year somewhere else or if you've had no gap in your enrollment, please make sure that you use the returning student registration.

We're really excited about the next event, which is Meet the Teacher Night. This is a night for you to get to meet your teachers. It's a night for you to get to see the building, see all the changes that have happened in your building, walk your schedule, and so forth. We have two nights that are separated by grade span. So secondary, middle school, and high school will be held on August 6th. You can watch the individual websites for their times. And then elementary schools will all be held on August 8th and we'll be posting times as well for those. 

And lastly, the first day of school. First day of school is August 13th. Now, if you've been in Crandall, you know that traffic is sometimes a little bit precarious and those kinds of things. So start planning now. August 13th is the first day of school. We look forward to seeing you. We hope you have a great year.
