Leadership Kaufman County 2022-23 selected individuals for this year’s 9-month program designed to train and encourage Kaufman County business people and residents to take an active role in determining the future of Kaufman County. We are excited to announce that our very own, Diana Roman, EL Instructional Coach, has been selected for this program.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to represent Crandall ISD,” said Diana. “I plan on making new community connections and bringing what I learn back to our Crandall ISD staff and families.”

The objective of the program is to develop a heightened sense of community awareness, involvement and leadership. Led by community professionals and civic leaders, the sessions combine classroom instruction, panel discussions, on-site visits and classroom interaction with session leaders. Classes run September 2022-June 2023.

Kaufman County Leadership Council—its parent organization—is made up of Kaufman County elected officials, school superintendents, city managers, mayors, chamber officials and economic development corporation officials throughout the county. The council is dedicated to the future growth of Kaufman County.

“Opportunities like this one are crucial to Crandall ISD, families and staff members,” said Dr. Wendy Eldredge, Crandall ISD Superintendent. “The ability to understand the growth of our county and to be able to help steer the future is so important. Our county is the fastest growing in Texas. Having families and staff get involved helps Crandall ISD navigate changes to accommodate the fast growth.”
