Real estate agents are common in Crandall ISD—a district that has grown from 3A to 5A in just 8 years. And today, CISD hosted those professionals responsible for putting new Pirates in new homes at the district’s first-ever realtor’s breakfast.

Almost 30 real estate agents, lenders and bank professionals attended the gathering, held at the CISD Community Center. The group learned of student opportunities through course offerings, the CISD Education Foundation, and gathered more insight on the staggering growth currently underway.

“What is one of the first things you hear as realtors?” Dr. Wendy Eldredge, CISD superintendent, asked the group. “Are the schools good? Right? Our schools are great and there is so much to offer families. We are thrilled you are here to learn more about us and learn more about our students, which—in turn—allow us to better serve you while sharing information about this wonderful district.”

Attendees also heard from Scott Stewart, who oversees transportation and school management for the district. Stewart shared that more than 1,000 homes are planned to begin construction during the next 12 months and that CISD has secured 12 campus sites in those planned developments.

“It is imperative that we partner with our developers during conceptual planning phases to ensure CISD effectively benefits all of our students—even those who won’t be here until years down road,” Stewart said. “This establishes a complete master planned community with quality schools and the community amenities a family desires.”

Kimberly Bramhall serves a dual-capacity for CISD as both the executive director of the CISD Education Foundation, and director of community relations. She highlighted the strength of partnerships and how more opportunity is on its way, along with the growth.

“Today, we were able to celebrate Crandall ISD and the opportunities associated with our exponential growth.  With partners such as Heartland and ANBTX Mortgage, we continue to show that community is an added value in our district,” Bramhall said.

The district plans to continue expanding its relationship with realtors and invites any questions be sent to Bramhall at kbramhall@crandall-isd.net.
