Student Technology Fee

Student Technology Fee Overview
To support Crandall ISD’s 1:1 Chromebook program for students in grades 6–12, the district is implementing a $30 annual technology fee. This fee helps cover maintenance, support, and accidental damage protection, ensuring students have reliable access to learning devices. The fee includes a district-issued Chromebook and charger, along with basic coverage for common accidental damage.

Families can pay online or in person, with waivers and discounts available for those who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Students who have not paid or requested a waiver by September 1 will be placed on an academic-only web filter until resolved. Loaner devices are available during repairs, and school supply lists will be adjusted to help offset costs. All students are required to use district-issued Chromebooks for security and compatibility with classroom instruction.
