CISD Head Start Program
The Head Start Program for Crandall ISD is the source for high-quality Early Childhood Education. Working alongside the Region 10 Education Service Center, CISD ensures that our youngest learners have the best possible foundation for their futures and their educational settings soon to follow.
Together with Region 10, CISD’s Head Start services are wrapped around the district’s Pre-K program so children receive both Head Start and Pre-K services. CISD and Region 10 are responsible for providing a high-quality comprehensive early childhood education program for income-eligible children and their families. The program provides a range of individualized services in the areas of education and early childhood development, health, nutrition, disabilities, mental health, parent engagement, family services and school readiness. The entire range of Head Start services is responsive and appropriate to each child’s and family’s developmental, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic heritage and experience.
