These accounts are public and can be viewed without maintaining personal accounts.
 
CISD also utilizes the Skylert telephone notification system to message parents and staff through calls, texts and emails. Up-to-date contact information must be on file to receive notices.
 
Decisions to close or delay schools are made as soon as possible, with student safety always top priority. All efforts are made to communicate a decision by 6 a.m. Major television and radio stations will also be notified but their announcements are sometimes delayed due to the large number of DFW school districts.
