Crandall Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Robert Jolly, has announced his retirement, effective June 2019. The Board of Trustees accepted his letter of resignation on February 4, 2019.
After a 30-year career in public education, seven as CISD Superintendent, Dr. Jolly has chosen to begin his retirement.
“Seven years, 30 years total is a lot of stress. It’s a lot of time, and we feel that this is best for our family,” said Dr. Jolly in a video that he released to the staff on January 25, 2019, announcing his upcoming retirement. “I’m excited about being a dad, and not a superintendent dad.”
“The plan is to hire a search firm and start the transition process to the new superintendent as soon as possible.” Said, Dr. Jolly.
Dr. Jolly will remain with the district through the remainder of his contract to help with the transition.
The Board of Trustees met on Monday, February 4, to consult with their attorneys on the legal timelines necessary to post the superintendent vacancy and begin the process of utilizing a search firm.
“We are excited and looking forward to the next chapter.” Said Dr. Jolly in his video. “We are excited about the future.”
