October is National Principals Month

Texas Governor Rick Perry has proclaimed October 2012 as “Principals Month” in Texas. In honor of our principals and assistant principals across the great state of Texas, we are encouraging campuses, districts and communities to recognize the elementary and secondary administrators in our schools. As you know, school leadership is vital to the success of all students. The motto of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals is, “Above All, Students First.”

The officers and board of directors of TASSP celebrate all Texas principals and assistant principals during the month of October by recognizing the positive contributions that secondary and elementary school leaders have made on student achievement in Texas.
