The outpouring of support from Crandall’s community continues as 13 groups have joined with the district to help families in need of meals. Three food pantries and 10 churches from Crandall, Combine, Forney and Kaufman are offering meal resources, including boxed lunches, food collection, household assistance and prayer lines.
Philanthropy groups have been eager to assist in numerous ways throughout the past two weeks and Dr. Wendy Eldredge, superintendent of CISD, says the district is grateful.
“Successful communities and schools work hand-in-hand and we are all seeing that here in Kaufman County,” Eldredge said. “We are receiving support from so many people and groups, many of them beyond our school district boundaries. Hundreds have already benefited but we know there are more who need help in CISD. We welcome all continued assistance and on behalf of our families and employees I say, ‘thank you.’”
Additional resources are available on the district’s Coronavirus Updates page.
