Crandall – Members of the Crandall FFA chapter traveled to Bells High School, Wednesday, November 20th, to compete in the Area 5 FFA Leadership Development Events.
Students began the District 1 LDE competitions in 13 different events, which focus on creating situations for members to demonstrate their abilities in public speaking, decision making, communication and their knowledge of agriculture and the FFA organization.
Crandall FFA advanced four teams from District LDE competitions to compete at Area 5 LDE competition on November 20th.
- 10th in the Senior Skills Demonstration. Team members included: Hagen Ondrusek, Cheyanne Stevens, and Audrey Reynolds.
- 5th in Greenhand Creed Speaking. Team member: Hailie Spakes
- 5th in Public Relations. Team members: Kently Northcutt, Craig Allen, and Ocean Lieb
- 1st in Agriculture Advocacy. Team members: Anna Hiser, Hannah Hamilton, and Hailie Spakes
By placing 1st, the Agriculture Advocacy team advances to State LDE Competition, which will take place on December 6th and 7th at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Crandall FFA will compete for top honors against 23 other teams from across the State of Texas.
