As we continue to be as transparent as possible, Crandall ISD wants to update you on the threatening graffiti found on the wall in Crandall High School.
On Thursday, October 17, 2019, an image containing a threat was found in a bathroom at Crandall High School. District officials and CISD PD worked together in partnership to evaluate the credibility of the threat, and start an investigation. CISD PD conducted a threat assessment and confirmed that there was not a threat to our students or our staff.
Security presence has been increased at the campus to help rebuild trust with our community and foster feelings of safety.
CISD understands your concern and need for timely information when it comes to the safety of your children. We work as quickly as possible to get accurate and appropriate information to our parents and staff, while simultaneously securing our facilities. Often times, releasing information too quickly could escalate a potentially dangerous situation.
Crandall ISD does not take matters like this lightly, and we will not tolerate threats, even hoaxes, made against our students. CISD strongly encourages all parents/guardians to discuss the serious nature of making these kinds of threats. Any and all threats will be investigated and taken seriously.
