October 7
Good evening, Pirates.
Through darkness, comes light. Those words have resonated with me this week as our Crandall ISD community worked through the tragic loss of Peyton Jones—a CHS student who passed away yesterday following a single-car accident over the weekend.
Peyton’s presence was strong throughout CHS as a member of Crandall Cheer. Students and staff rallied around her, and her family, through a heartbreaking week. But through darkness, came light. The light of knowing this community is one that cares. The light of knowing this community is one that embraces. The light of knowing this community is one that fosters love, grows support and stands by its Pirates.
What a blessing it is to work, and live, in a community that supports all things CISD. Let us never forget, those around us make us who we are. Seek the light in everyone you know and maintain what this community has become throughout its history—Pirate Proud.
Pirates forever,
Dr. Wendy Eldredge
CISD Superintendent
