CHS Seniors recognized by their biggest supporters as they wrap up their last moments of Friday Night Lights

Senior night looked a little different this year. The original night was supposed to be October 28 before the varsity football game against Denison. Due to the rain, senior night had to be rescheduled.

The night recognizes seniors in student organizations like the drill team, cheerleading team, band members, and football team—all participating in Friday night lights. Seniors would walk across the football field with a few family members of their choice, and their names and involvement would be announced. Seniors rolled with the punches and adapted since the original night did not go as planned. Instead, band and drill had their senior night in the freshman center gym where they walked with their family and took pictures. The cheerleaders stayed inside until the game started and took pictures with their families—they also received their senior gifts.

Soon after the game, it was announced that cheer, football, and the drill team would have their official senior night on Tuesday, November 8. Stands may not have been as packed as usual, but the seniors could walk across the field and be recognized by some of their biggest supporters. The night was filled with lots of pictures, smiles, and laughter.

While this was not how many seniors imagined their night, they adapted and made the most of it. Crandall ISD is excited to see what this amazing group of seniors accomplish. #piratesforever
