What is Alternative Education?

Some students have circumstances, which prevent them from doing well in a traditional school structure. Alternative Education provides students with an opportunity to achieve in a non-traditional school setting. Fewer students in classrooms and fewer distractions assist with student success.

STARS Service Project

This spring the Crandall Alternative Center was awarded a grant from the Meadows Foundation to help update the appearance of our building.

The grant was used by the STARS students to put in land- scape areas on both sides of the entrance into the Alternative Center.

Bright and Shining S.T.A.R.S

During the week of October 10-14 Crandall ISD students participated in the annual "Children Helping Children" Fundraiser! This year the donations received went to the Bastrop County Wildfire victims. Smithville ISD was presented a check for over $11,000.00 at the football game that Friday night.

Our S.T.A.R.S. students raised a little over $1400.00 to contribute to this worth while cause!
