Emily Atkins qualified for the State Track Meet to be held in Austin June 5th & 6th. She also set a new Regional Record in the Shot Put. Good luck at State, Emily!

The Crandall Band attended two invitational music competitions this spring and returned with high honors for all groups involved. The Jazz Band placed first in their division at the Highlander Jazz Festival. Amber Fields and Winter Quinn also received outstanding musician awards at the event. The Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Vocal Ensemble attended a festival at the Metro Center in Arlington and received first divisions and in class designations for all three groups. This puts the final touches on a spring of great accomplishments for the program. The band is now getting ready for fall with over 120 students signed up for marching band we will once again be fielding the largest band in the school's history. CISD is proud of you!

Crandall Athletes Honored at Spring Sports Banquet

The annual Crandall Spring Sports Banquet was held on Thursday, May 7th at Crandall High School. The Crandall Athletic Booster Club hosted the event. Powerlifting, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track, Golf and Tennis were all recognized. Each of the athletics were presented with a certificate for their participation and commitment to CISD Athletics. Each sport also presented team awards that were voted on by the players.

The superlative awards that were given were the Male and Female Athlete of the Year and the Crandall Hall of Fame awards. The Female Athlete of the Year was senior Crystal Spain and the male Athlete of the Year was junior Travis Dykman. The Female Hall of Fame honorees were seniors Ashley Halbert and Shelby Sanders. Senior Brett Russell was named as the Male Hall of Fame inductee.

Shelby's Softball Skills Pay Off!!!

Shelby Sanders signed a letter of intent to attend Southern Arkansas University to play softball. Shelby is an early graduate that has made significant contributions to Crandall High School Softball, playing on playoff teams in 2007 and 2008. She is a three year letterman in softball earning first team outfield all district honors in 2007 and 2008. Shelby also earned academic all district honors in both 2007 and 2008.
